Here are my predictions for 2010. Feel free to point and laugh to any that don’t come true…

1. Apple take the movie industry on a big ride in the same manner they did the music industry with iTunes, and we see the Apple TV rise in the same way the iPod did.
2. a) Google release a VoiP phone that takes a provider agnostic SIM card as a backup.   b) Google also start a free ISP, probably WiFi, and kick it off through Starbucks.
3. Microsoft start their descent out of the home computing market - Google, Apple and Sony will claim significant market share in everything MS does. (Can you spell IBM?)
4. Google and Dell make a huge deal that changes the computing landscape.
5. Facebook on the end of a big class action lawsuit.
6. Three or four new search engine companies providing high quality “types” of searching appear. This is the year of curated search.
7. Nobody makes an iPhone killer.
8. Apple release a subscription music service through iTunes.
9. 10. People realise Dan Brown novels are actually complete shit and he only sells 6 copies of his new book. One of those to his mother.*

I have a few more half thoughts, I will get them down before January 1st.

*More hope than prediction.
